GDN Global is an international media platform covering Africa-centered opportunity, diaspora engagement,
global policy shifts, and economic inclusion. Our internships offer real-world experience in
research, writing, communications, outreach, workforce pipeline development, and digital infrastructure.

1) Research & Policy Intern
Research and fact-check stories about Africa, diaspora economics, and global affairs.
Good for: International Relations, African Studies, Political Science, Economics, Sociology.
2) Media & Editorial Intern
Support article development, editing, formatting, newsletters, and podcast/video research notes.
Good for: Journalism, Communications, English, Media Studies.
3) Digital & Social Media Intern
Draft social posts, repurpose content, track engagement, and support campaigns.
Good for: Marketing, Digital Media, Communications.
4) Partnerships & Outreach Intern
Research organizations, support outreach lists, coordinate briefings/events, and map ecosystems.
Good for: Business, Public Policy, Nonprofit Management, International Studies.
5) Youth & Campus Engagement Intern (select)
Translate content for students, help create youth explainers, support campus outreach.
Good for: Education, Sociology, Leadership Studies.
6) Sales & Employer Partnerships Intern
Build employer pipelines, support outreach campaigns, and connect companies to Africa-centered talent pathways.
Good for: Business, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Economics, Public Administration.
7) Website Development & Digital Infrastructure Intern
Improve WordPress pages, optimize CTAs and forms, strengthen UX, and support analytics-informed site improvements.
Good for: Web Development, Computer Science, Information Systems, UX/UI, Digital Media.
Compensation Note
Most GDN Global internships are currently unpaid as we build program funding. We intend to add stipends as we grow.
The Sales Internship is self-supporting with performance-based earnings.
We remain committed to providing structured mentorship, practical portfolio-building work, and clear professional development outcomes across all tracks.
How The Sixth Region Right of First Refusal (RoFR) Project Fits In
The RoFR Project is a cross-track applied layer inside this internship initiative.
You select one primary track, and each track contributes a role-specific RoFR-aligned output.
Foundation
Week 1 onboarding on Sixth Region, RoFR concepts, and mission-aligned standards.
Track Execution
Track-specific outputs with RoFR context in policy, storytelling, outreach, workforce, and digital operations.
Capstone
Cross-track RoFR Opportunity Briefing at the end of the term.
Program Principle: RoFR integration strengthens your designated track — it does not replace it.

Each track remains intact while contributing one RoFR-aligned deliverable.
1) Research & Policy
Country/policy scans and “where RoFR could shift outcomes” briefs.
2) Media & Editorial
RoFR explainers, myth-vs-fact content, and interview prep notes.
3) Digital & Social
RoFR social series, FAQs, and audience engagement pathways.
4) Partnerships & Outreach
Partner mapping and RoFR briefing coordination with institutions.
5) Youth & Campus Engagement
Student-facing explainers, campus kits, and ambassador support.
6) Sales & Employer Partnerships
Employer pipeline support tied to Africa-focused talent demand.
7) Website Development & Digital Infrastructure
RoFR landing modules, CTA flow improvements, and conversion tracking support.
What You’ll Actually Do
- Build research briefs and timelines for upcoming features
- Draft newsletter excerpts and RoFR explainer summaries
- Support social campaigns tied to major stories
- Contribute one RoFR-aligned deliverable in your selected track
- Support employer outreach and/or partner ecosystem mapping
- Update WordPress pages, optimize CTAs, and test form flow
